OVEN BBQ COUNTRY STYLE RIBS


2 lbs country style pork ribs

4 Tbs peanut oil

1 chopped onion

2 Tbs butter

1/2 tsp pepper

3 Tbs sugar

1 Tbs dry mustard

3 Tbs Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp Tabasco sauce

1 cup catsup

1/4 cup vinegar

3/4 cup water


Brown the ribs in peanut oil on all sides, in an oven proof skillet.

Remove the ribs, and add the onion, stirring up all the brown bits. Add all the remaining ingredients and blend well. Return the ribs and coat them with the sauce.

Bake uncovered in a 325 degree oven until the sauce is reduced and the ribs are tender, approximately 1 1/2 -2 hours. Baste occasionally.
