FEATURING AMAZING SKAGIT VALLEY STRAWBERRIES!

We joined Nate O'Neil and Shannon Dignum on a tour of their unique farm on Fir Island, tasting strawberries and other in season produce. We learned about the history of the farm, including their unique dry farming practices.

Frog Song Farm sells at the Mount Vernon Farmers Market.

Nate O'Neil and Shannon Dignum farm 16 acres of prime farmland soil on Fir Island. Their farm is certified organic. Heirloom potatoes are their specialty, as they grow 20 different varieties, including Purple Peruvians, Yukon Golds, and Fingerlings. They also grow a wonderful variety of Asian Pears, vegetables and fruits, including strawberries. You can find Frog Song at the Mount Vernon Farmers Market as well as market locations in King and Snohomish Counties. Frog Song is unique in using "dry farming" practices, cultivating the soil to retain and nourish their farm without irrigation.
